Siddharth R. Dungarwal, born August 10, 1987, in the small mining town of KGF (Kolar Gold Fields), Karnataka, is the visionary founder and CEO of Snitch, India's fastest-growing fast-fashion menswear brand that has disrupted traditional retail with its direct-to-consumer model. Growing up 100 kilometers from Bangalore, Siddharth developed a passion for fashion early, initially helping his father at their family jewelry business. At just 18, driven by his love for clothing, he opened a small 400-square-foot retail store named "4EVER" in Frazer Town, Bangalore, which still exists today.
With just 30 SKUs, a Shopify store, a four-member team, and zero knowledge of e-commerce or digital marketing, Siddharth launched Snitch on July 4, 2020. The brand made its first sale within one hour. Positioning Snitch as India's answer to Zara, Siddharth focused on fast fashion, releasing new styles every 15 days, offering contemporary co-ords, colorful shirts, and stylish trousers that addressed a critical gap in India's menswear market. Unlike traditional brands following old retail methods, Snitch's agile approach enabled rapid response to trends, completing the entire cycle from design to market in just 25 days.
Siddharth's appearance on Shark Tank India Season 2 became legendary. Seeking ₹1.5 crore for 0.5% equity at a ₹300 crore valuation, his pitch impressed all five sharks, resulting in an unprecedented "all-shark deal", ₹1.5 crore for 1.5% equity (0.3% each) at ₹100 crore valuation. Post-Shark Tank, Snitch's revenue spiked 30%, reaching ₹11 crore monthly, and the brand secured $13 million in Series A funding in 2024. Today, Snitch operates over 50 physical stores across India, processes 25,000+ orders monthly, boasts a 48% repeat customer rate, and crossed ₹500 crore in revenue within five years. With plans to reach ₹1,000 crore by FY26, Siddharth's philosophy remains clear: "Zara's not my competition. My customer's boredom is." His journey exemplifies how crisis-driven innovation, deep industry knowledge, and relentless execution can create phenomenal success even without traditional advantages.
